Zimbabwe state media say police are investigating the death of a former ruling party cabinet minister who was found dead in his home on Tuesday.
State radio says police have ordered an autopsy on the body of 69-year-old Enos Chikowore.
President Robert Mugabe says Mr. Chikowore has been delcared a national hero in recognition of his service to his country during its fight for independence.
Mr. Chikowore resigned from the cabinet in 2000 amid a fuel crisis and a scandal over fuel procurement.
The state-run Herald Newspaper reports Mr. Chikowore's funeral will be held Friday and he will be buried in the National Heroes cemetery.
