Mothers are crafty people who always want to fend for their children – in good and bad times.
But Alpha Ndhlela of Bulawayo’s Emakhandeni suburb is among mothers who can no longer take care of her family due to circumstances beyond her control.
Ndlela, a former cross-border trader who used to visit neighboring nations to buy goods for resale in Zimbabwe, stopped conducting her business after she was involved in a nasty car accident.
The single mother is now failing to take care of her family of four. To make matters worse, she cannot manage to send her children to school.
"The situation is pathetic because I have no source of income," said Ndhlela, who was deserted by her husband soon after losing her left leg in the Botswana car accident in 2010.
Ndhlela, currently entirely dependent on relatives, neighbors and friends on the social networking site, Facebook
, says she will manage to go back to work if she gets an artificial limb.
Her contact numbers are 263 778 686 643 and 263 713 885 284.
