Movement for Democratic Change founding president Morgan Tsvangirai, who was recently diagnosed with cancer of the colon, has appointed two vice presidents – Elias Mudzuri and Nelson Chamisa - in what is believed to be part of his strategy to deal with conflicts in the opposition party and attempts to groom a successor.

High Court judge justice Nicholas Mathonsi has granted the Women’s Assembly of the Movement for Democratic Change permission to stage a peaceful protest dubbed ‘beatthepots’ campaign in an attempt to highlight challenges faced by most households that are struggling to make ends meet.

And the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League reaches its halfway mark with a top of the table clash between leaders Caps United and second-placed Highlanders.
