Zimbabwe's Mwana Africa football team, which is representing the country at the Confederation Of African Football Cup, faces an uphill task Saturday, when it plays Tout Puissant Mazembe of the Democratic Republic Of Congo, to qualify for the next paying leg of the tournament.
Mwana Africa stands to win US$100 000 should the team qualify to move to the mini-league stand of the tournament.
Mwana Africa’s 1-0 loss to TP Mazembe in the first leg of the tournament, played in the DRC a few weeks ago, means it has to win Saturday’s match overwhelmingly, before a home crowd at Rufaro Stadium in Harare.
Mwana Africa's captain, Thomas Svesve, told sports reporter Marvelous Mhlanga Nyahuye of VOA’s Studio 7 for Zimbabwe, that the team’s morale is high despite the stiff competition facing it.
