The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League race is becoming more interesting as each games passes.
With only three matches to go, only two points separate the leaders after Chicken Inn could only afford a one-all draw at relegation candidates Whawha on Saturday.
On the same day, their closest rivals, FC Platinum, came out 2-0 winners over Harare City to leave Chicken Inn on 54 points and FC Platinum on 52.
Dynamos still remain in third place after a one-all draw against bitter rivals Caps United but the Glamour Boys are out of the league title race.
The entertaining Harare derby was watched by campaigning Zifa presidential candidate, Phillip Chiyangwa, who ironically was in the company of Harare province chairman, Owen Chandamale, who's one of the people in Zifa who will cast their vote in the crucial election to chose Cuthbert Dube's successor.
That aside, Caps United dominated the game and coach Lloyd Chitembwe says they were unlucky not to grab all three points.
Chitembwe thinks this is the revival of the Green Machine of which he played for during its good old in the 1990s.
Dynamos are on 48 points after the weekend games though Dynamos coach, Tonderai Ndiraya, says the battle for the championship is over, adding that they are looking forward to the Easycall Cup which kicks off this weekend.
The weekend also confirmed the relegation of Dongo Sawmills after their 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Triangle.
Donga, however, still retain their voting powers in the Zifa presidential race set for December 5.

In athletics, Kelvin Pangiso and Olivia Chitate won the long-awaited Gutu half marathon which is in honour of the late Zimbabwe Vice President Simon Vengesai Muzenda.
Pangiso finished the Race in 1 hour and 8 minutes while Chitate was way behind in 1 hour and 22 minutes.
The race is being sponsored from the pockets of the Muzenda family as sponsorship has been hard to come by 20 years after the event was introduced.
