Critics say the future looks bleak for Zimbabwe with indications that there is no solution in sight for the current harsh social, economic and political situation in the country.
They say Zimbabweans will continue to struggle to have basic necessities while the situation deteriorates.
Zanu PF on the other hand believes that it is doing all what it can to save the country from collapse and is blaming opposition parties and the West for the country’s challenges.
For perspective, we reached David Ndlovu, a Zanu PF Central Committee member, and independent political analyst Mlamuli Nkomo.
Ndlovu acknowledged that the country is facing serious problems.
Ndlovu said Zimbabweans are fond of complaining without giving tangible solutions to the country’s problems.
He dismissed independent calls for the resignation of Presdient Robert Mugabe for allegedly failing to properly run the nation, saying he was democratically elected by the people of Zimbabwe.
But Nkomo said the president has run out of ideas and therefore needs to step down together with his colleagues in Zanu PF, which has been in power since the country attained independence from British rule in 1980.
