A Zimbabwean agronomist, Peter Mukudzavhu, based in Maryland, USA, has continued with his interest in agriculture by engaging in a small-scale maize-cropping project designed to supply corn to foreigners based in America.

Mukudzavhu, who worked at Seed Co Limited, a leading producer and marketer of certified crop seeds in southern Africa, says he is currently renting a plot from a Hagerstown farmer where he grows maize strains similar to some used by Zimbabwean farmers.

He normally supplies maize in batches to individuals and African embassies in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
