The Zimbabwe Warriors on Wednesday beat Lesotho 2-1 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Zambia, in a Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) Castle Cup semi-final match to advance to the finals of the regional tournament.

The Warriors - comprising young players drawn from the local Castle Lager Premier Soccer League – were a goal down in the sixth minute of the game but managed to overpower a determined Lesotho in the second half.

The Warriors, who have won the cup four times, are the current title holders. They are now set to clash with either Zambia or South Africa in the finals.

The country’s German coach Klaus Dieter Pagels has already stated that he will leave Zimbabwe after the COSAFA Cup Zambia 2013 tournament, making this his last shot at glory.
