Zimbabwean born artist, Kudzai Sigauke, aka Sisiyanti Siggs, has just released her official debut single, Vhaya Kadhumba, taken off her upcoming album, New Beginnings, due out in a few months.

Based in South Africa now, Sisiyathi writes and performs her own songs, and has also been a back-up singer for South African artists like Thembi Seete of the Boom Shaka firm and Jah Seed of Bongo Muffin.

Sisiyathi has worked behind the scenes with Wicus Struwig, producer for artists like the late Brenda Fassie, Rebecca Malope, Mandoza and Lizha James of mozambique.

Sisiyathi tells VOA Studio 7 that the song is derived from a childhood game she and her friends used to play, “Vhaya Kadhumba” meaning basically, “show your best” or blow someone’s mind,” in Shona.

It is a catchy, feel good song that has a hip hop afro-dance feel.
