Mashonaland West police spokesperson Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara confirmed the case but refused to give details, referring us to police national spokesperson Charity Charamba who referred us back to Mabgweazara who then refused to comment.

Augustine Chidhakwa is a Zanu-PF and National Constitutional Assembly member.

Allegations are that Chidhakwa has been raping his wife’s sister in Gamarahwe village in Kutama, Zvimba, since June this year.
