Labour Body Accuses Zimbabwe Inclusive Government of Failing to Protect Workers

  • Jonga Kandemiiri

The Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions has accused the inclusive government of failing to halt the abuse of workers by police and state security agents.

In its annual report released Thursday, the ZCTU said more than 2 300 cases of violations of workers’ rights were committed by the police and the state agents in 2009.

Union President Lovemore Matombo told reporter Jonga Kandemiiri that they have failed to see any differences between the then Zanu PF government and the present inclusive government.
