WASHINGTON DC —
Zimbabwean swimmer, Kirsty Coventry, has won another gold medal and a bronze in the on-going All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville.
Former Education Minister David Coltart, who has been monitoring the games, posted a message on his Facebook page saying “Coventry has won the 200 individual medley event and has helped Zimbabwe to win another medal (bronze) in the 400 meter mixed medley.”
“#Zimbabwe is now lying 4th on the swimming medal table in the#AllAfricaGames. Amhlophe to the entire team. Excellent!”
VOA Studio 7 could not independently confirm the results of these two events with the organizers of the games.
On Tuesday Coventry won gold in the 100 metre backstroke. She has represented Zimbabwe in many international competitions and won several gold medals.
