Reports say some members of a Zanu PF faction pushing First Lady Grace Mugabe to succeed 91 year-old President Robert Mugabe have been suspended in Masvingo province.

President Robert Mugabe, who turns 92 within the next few days, is expected to hold a lavish $800,000 birthday bash next week, in the impoverished Masvingo region hard hit by a devastating drought.

Former Finance Minister Tendai Biti and current president of the opposition People’s Democratic Party says the latest Grace Mugabe rally is the turning point for Zimbabwe.
