Zimbabwe's Dynamos Seeded in CAF Champions League; Gunners Must Qualify

The other teams given a bye in the Champions League tournament are TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Al Hilal of Sudan, ASEC Mimosas of Cote d'Ivore, Heartland of Nigeria and Egypt's Al Ahly

The Confederation of African Football has given Zimbabwe's Dynamos Football Club and five other teams byes allowing them skip the preliminary rounds of the Champion’s League tourney based on their previous performances.

The other teams seeded in the tournament are TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Al Hilal of Sudan, ASEC Mimosas of Cote d'Ivore, Heartland of Nigeria and Egypt's Al Ahly.

But Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League 2009 title-holder Gunners was not so lucky – it must play Mafunzo FC of Zanzibar in the preliminaries.

Dynamos Secretary General Stan Kasukuwere told VOA Studio 7 reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye that the bye will save the team money.
