Zimbabwean soccer fans are sure to pack National Sports Stadium in Harare on Wednesday when the Warriors national team is to face Brazil’s Samba Kings in a friendly match before the World Cup starting June 11 in South Africa.
Officials hope the appearance by the Brazilian side in Harare will focus attention on the country in the run-up to the Cup, potentially enhancing the country's attractiveness as a side-trip destination for soccer tourists.
Zimbabwean sports commentator Omega Sibanda told VOA Studio 7 reporter Marvellous Mhlanga Nyahuye that the Warriors should not be intimidated by the Brazilian team, and might even manage to pull off an upset if enough of the national side's foreign-based players make it home for the game.
