The Women of Dominion International conference officially opened in a colorful ceremony, Friday, in the U.S. state of Ohio, in Cincinnati.

The conference, now it is 4th year, is the brainchild of Zimbabwean Pastor, Marvellous Ndlovu, and brings together hundreds of Zimbabwean women living in the U.S. as well as outside the country, including Canada, the United Kingdom and even Zimbabwe.

The conference's mission, as stated on its website, "to spiritually and socially empower and equip women. Our goal is to "Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air and over every living thing on earth" ~ Gen 1:28.

The 2015 Women of Dominion conference is being held under the theme “Ebenezer – Thus Far the Lord has brought us”.

Conference organizer Margaret Chidemo, said she was excited about the organization's growth since it started, four years ago.

"As the organizers from Cincinnati, we are over the moon that things have started well and hopefully the organization and our annual spiritual extravaganza will continue to grow,” Chidema said.

In addition to spiritual strengthening, Chidema said the annual conference, which is held in different U.S. cities, under the Women of Dominion banner, also addresses issues of concern to many women.

“Women of Dominion is an all-rounder organization bringing women together mainly for spiritual growth but also taking care of their other needs by bringing speakers who touch on issues that deal with their daily lives," said Chidemo. As examples of how the conference helps womeh, Chidemo named, "life insurance, health and related issues.”

The conference, now in its 4th year, started on Thursday and will end on Sunday.
