Police Disrupt Zimbabwe Human Rights Group's Photo Exhibition

Police in Masvingo shut down Monday a photo exhibition organized by the Zimbabwe Human Rights Association showing images of political violence, confiscating the photos and arresting four people, sources said. The exhibition is the same one shut down in Harare last month.

Zimrights Director Okay Machisa said three of those arrested were release late Monday, but Zimrights Masvingo province chairman Joel Hita remained in custody lateTuesday.

Machisa told Jonga Kandemiiri that lawyers for the non-governmental organization are trying to obtain release of Hita and the photos.
