First Lady Grace Mugabe continues to rally the people of Zimbabwe to support her aging husband’s ruling party saying she is not interested in the presidential post, which has been held by President Robert Mugabe for more than 35 years.

Zimbabwe is monitoring the situation in Mali to establish if any of its citizens are among 134 hostages being held by suspected Islamic militants at a luxury hotel in the capital, Bamako. So far, three people have been killed by the unidentified assailants at the hotel surrounded by troops drawn from the United Nations, France and Mali.

Zimbabwe is preparing to host the 18th International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa next week. ICASA is a premier gathering for those working in the field of HIV, political and civic society leaders, people living with HIV and others committed to ending the pandemic. About 7,000 delegates from nearly 150 countries are expected to attend the event.
