WASHINGTON DC —
Former Zanu-PF secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa says President Robert Mugabe has spurned all his overtures to try and meet to talk about their fallout after the party’s congress last December.
Attempts to reach President Mugabe’s spokesman, George Charamba, were futile as his phone went unanswered.
Mutasa was ousted from government together with former Vice President Joice Mujuru. He is taking the party to court, challenging the outcome of the congress.
He says Mr. Mugabe’s insults, like calling him “a braying donkey” strengthened his resolve to seek relief in the courts.
