Bangladesh Locks Up Series of Five One-Day Internationals With Zimbabwe

Bangladesh's cricket team held Zimbabwe to just 44 runs on Tuesday to win their limited-overs match by six wickets clinching a five-match series 3-1.

Bangladesh opened with 33 runs without loss in 6.3 overs. Tamim Iqbal hit 22 runs to the delight of his home crowd at Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

The home side seemed on course for a 10 wicket triumph but Zimbabwe spinners Raymond Price and Graeme Cremer split a quick four-wicket haul in five runs. Bangladesh soon recovered its rhythm and closed out the match at 49 for four.

Cricket commentator Dean du Plessis told VOA's Studio 7 reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye that while Zimbabwe has lost the series, it will try to pick up the pieces in the final match on Thursday to prepare itself for an upcoming series with South Africa.
