Opening public hearings in Harare Wednesday, the Zimbabwe Parliament's select committee on constitutional revision assured the public that nothing has been predetermined in debate on the basic document and that all Zimbabweans will have a chance to voice their opinions.
Correspondent Irwin Chifera of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe reported on the hearing.
Meanwhile, about 50 members of the Progressive Teacher’s Union of Zimbabwe marched from one ministry to another in the capital in a demonstration to urge the government to review salaries and purge so-called ghost workers from public payrolls.
Correspondent Sylvia Manika reported on the demonstration.
