Zimbabwe's cholera epidemic is continuing to subside, which the United Nations Children's Fund attributes in significant measure to increased awareness of cholera risks.
UNICEF Communications Officer Tsitsi Singizi told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye that increased public vigilance has significantly reduced deaths from the disease.
The World Health Organization reported that as of Friday, April 10, 4,154 people had died of cholera in the country from 95,738 cases recorded since August 2008.
