Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League Season Set To Resume Without Sponsor

Zimbabwe's Premier Soccer League is launching its new season without a sponsor following the exit of Commercial Bank Of Zimbabwe as the football league's main funder.

With play resuming on Saturday, sports commentator Michael Kariati told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye that the lack of a sponsor will have the greatest impact on smaller teams which are already feeling the pinch of the country's perennially contracting economy.

Among matches set for this weekend: Black Rhinos vs. Lengthens; CAPS United vs. Hwange; Highlanders vs. Gunners; Kiglon vs. Shooting Stars; Monomotapa vs. Highway; Motor Action vs. Eagles; Njube Sundowns vs. Bantu Rovers; and Underhill vs. Dynamos.
