After Dubai Win, Zimbabwe Sevens Rugby Team Eyes Hong Kong Upset

The Zimbabwe Sevens Rugby team hopes to repeat its spectacular run at the recent Dubai Sevens World Cup when it steps up in the Hong Kong Sevens Invitational next week.

Rugby Sevens Manager Bruce Hobson told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe he has called on foreign-based players to bolster the side.

One of the foreign-based players, vice captain Daniel Hondo, said he is confident his team will stage an upset in the 24-team tournament in Hong Kong following the squad's impressive performance in the Dubai Sevens World Cup tournament.

Hondo added that morale in training is high as the team prepares for its departure next week. The tournament in Hong Kong runs runs from March 27 to 29.
