Former Zimbabwe National Soccer Coach Chidzambwa Returns

A former coach of the Zimbabwe national soccer team, Sunday Marimo Chidzambwa, is to replace Brazilian Jose Claudinei Georgini, or Valinhos, as he is known, as head of the Warriors when the incumbent coach's contract expires at the end of this year.

Chidzambwa is well respected for having taken the Zimbabwe Warriors to the African Cup of Nations in 2004 - an accomplishment many hope he will be able to repeat.

The Zimbabwe Football Association also named Ian Gorowa and Shooting Stars coach Joey Antipas as assistants to Chidzambwa, and Emmanuel Nyahuma as goalkeeping coach.

Sports commentator Michael Kariati tells reporter VOA Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that the appointments have been well received by fans.
