While Zimbabwe's political opposition is demanding accountability for the perpetrators of political violence in months
past, church leaders are working with non-governmental groups in an effort to
heal divisions and wounds from the traumatic post-election period.

Christian Alliance said a foundation is required for transitional justice to take place if and when the proposed national unity government is formed.

victims but on reaching out to those accused of committing political violence.
Amnesty International has estimated that some 180 people died in the wave of political violence that swept the country following March elections.
