An Indian cricket team has recruited Zimbabwean player Tatenda Taibu to play in April in an eight-team, 44-day Indian Premier League tournament for a $125,000 fee.
Taibu will join top international batsmen on India's Kolkata cricket team in the round of 59 Twenty20 matches with a $3 million purse for the winning team.
Commentator Brian Goredema told Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that his recruitment inclusion is a good sign for Zimbabwean cricket, which has not fared very well despite Taibu's return to the team last July.
