Zimbabwe Cricket Shines In One-Day International Against West Indies

Zimbabwe's cricket team defeated West Indies by 31 runs this afternoon at Harare Sports club in the first in a series of one-day international matches, Zimbabwe's first home win since it launched its quest to return to test cricket in 2008.

The teams play again Sunday and Tuesday in Harare then will shift to Bulawayo for the rest of the five-match series.

Cricket commentator Brian Goredema told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that the national team was in top form in Friday’s match and deserved to prevail over the West Indies squad.
