Zimbabwe's Lengthens Football Club says it is delighted with the Premier Soccer League’s decision to schedule its Saturday match against Highlanders at Gwanzura Stadium, Harare, saying this will accommodate thousands of fans of both teams.
But officials at Caps United expressed outrage on Monday over the decision, which relegated the team to playing in the smaller Dzivarasekwa Stadium. Harare's Rufaro Stadium was recently closed so that artificial turf can be installed.
Lengthens manager Elliot Mutizwa told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that his team is honored by the stadium assignment, and will try not to disappoint its fans.
