Zimbabwe's Women Rugby Players In First Home International Match

Zimbabwe's women's rugby team will be playing an international match at home for the first time on Saturday when the country's male and female rugby players take on their Zambian counterparts in friendly games at the Harare Sports Club.

The main event of the day is a match between the Sables, the flagship team of the Zimbabwe Rugby Union, and the Zambian squad. But activity will include Under-21 play and a faceoff between the Zimbabwean and Zambian women's teams.

Though the game is dominated by men, women’s rugby player Catherine Sibanda tells sports reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that her team is hoping to deliver an impressive performance to the home crowd.
