Zimbabwe Coach Says Size Matters For Rugby Victories

Zimbabwe’s under 21 rugby coach Nsikelelo Sibanda says his board plans to recruit bigger and stronger players for the country's national rugby teams, following the poor showing of the National Under 19 team at the recently ended World Cup Rugby in Ireland.

Sibanda told sports reporter Marvelous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio Seven for Zimbabwe, that Zimbabwe's team was the smallest in built compared to other rugby players at the competition, and that worked against them.

However, Sibanda said he was pleased with the level of interest Zimbabweans have shown have in rugby, and hoped he'll be able to recruit potential players during the nationwide search.
