Zimbabwe's Mwana Africa One Leg Up On Highlanders In Charity Round

After Mwana Africa’s 3-0 defeat of reigning Zimbabwe league champion Highlanders in the first leg of the Nestle Charity Shield on Saturday in Bindura, players and fans were looking to the second leg Sunday at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo.

Mwana Africa, considered the underdog, crushed Highlanders by 3 goals to nil.

Highlanders apparently was not at the top of its form: reports said the team almost refused to play after five of its players failed to be cleared for the match.

Reporter Marvellous Mhlanga Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe interviewed Mwana Africa player Thomas Sweswe who scored one of the team's three goals against his former teammates on Highlanders.
