Olympic sprinter Talkmore Nyongani has urged Zimbabwe's National Athletics Association to provide better support to athletes or risk seeing them emigrate.
The 400-meter specialist said he is saddened by the conditions for those athletes who must rely on the national association for support. He recently won an Olympic solidarity scholarship covering his travel and equipment during 2007.
Nyongani told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe he hopes this will be a good year even for those without such a scholarship.
