Zimbabwe's Shooting Stars Soccer Team Faces Premier League Relegation


The battle to avoid relegation from Zimbabwe's Premier Soccer League heats up this weekend with just four weeks of play left before the season closes.

Bulawayo's Highlanders, currently topping the league table, tackle Masvingo United at Mucheke Stadium on Sunday, while Shooting Stars, threatened with relegation, will take on Mwana Africa at Rufaro Stadium.

In other fixtures in week 26, Caps United take on Chapungu in their last match at the National Sports Stadium before the venue undergoes major renovations.

Monomotapa face Lancashire Steel at Gwanzura Stadium and Railstars play Hwange at Luveve. On Sunday, Black Rhinos will tackle Shabanie Mine at Gwanzura Stadium, Motor Action is to play Dynamos at Rufaro, and Saints will face Buymore.

Reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe asked Stars Vice Chairman Douglas Mukwaiwa about how his team plans ot avoid the chop.
