Although President Mugabe said a few months ago that Zimbabwe would not nationalize the mining industry, mines minister Amos Midzi has reiterated that the state intends to proceed with plans to take 51 percent stakes in mines.
Web news-site Zim-Online said the Minister made the statement during a meeting with small-scale miners last weekend.
