The faction of Zimbabwe's opposition Movement for Democratic Change led by Arthur Mutambara has been experiencing some wrenching internal changes, leading some to question whether the former expatriate businessman can keep his footing.

Even as Mutambara has sought to win over supporters and position his faction as a viable alternative to the one led by MDC founding president Morgan Tsvangirai, it has lost top officials in a damaging series resignations and defections to the rival faction.
